Congratulations to the winners of the 8th Annual HCMC Golf Classic!

The
Eighth Annual Hillsboro Community Medical Center Charity Golf Classic was
held at the Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course on 08-08-08. Twenty teams participated
in the 4-person scramble. The team of Anthony Thiessen, Phillip Thiessen,
Roger Flaming and Scott O’Hare won the tournament with a score of
56. Second place in the championship flight went to Eric Driggers, Paul
Raugust, Kelly Battese, and Kory Unruh with a score of 60. Third place in
the championship flight went to the team of Johnson and Bartel from Hillsboro
who golfed a 61. Team members were Ric and Ken Johnson and Bruce and Pat
Bartel
The first flight was made up of three teams, each of whom golfed a 66.
Placing was determined by tie breaker holes. In the first flight,
first place went to Clint Seibel, Carl Long, Max Terman, and Don Dahl. In
second place was a team from McPherson - Chad Clark, Sam Clark, Doug Curtright,
and Del Reese. Third place went to Richard Nickel, Jerold Vogt, Andy Friesen,
and Jay Schroeder.
Winners of the 2nd flight, and golfing a 69, was the team from Tabor College.
Team members were Jeremy Jordan, Shawn Winter, Landon Jordan and Jason Ybarra.
Second place went to another team from McPherson, Jack and Elouise Edwards
and Darrell and Vada Wilson who golfed a 72. Third place, by tie breaker,
went to the team representing Shawmar Oil Company. Golfing a round
of 73 was Craig Settle, Jim Cloutier, Beau Coultier, and Dave Mayfield.
Proceeds from the 8th Annual Charity Golf Classic are going towards the
purchase of a defibrillator and two Automatic External Defibrillators for
HCMC. The AEDs will be place in the nursing home and in the HCMC outpatient
clinic. Updating and expanding the equipment enables HCMC to deliver better
care to our patients.
